Public Information Release Regarding COVID-19

BCFA would like to take this opportunity to address our concerns and preventative measures associated with COVID-19. As part of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) and Florida Federation of Fairs, it is our mission to provide a safe, clean and fun environment, while practicing our industry’s best practices for everyone. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local health department are sending regular updates and guidelines to help prevent the spread of this virus. Following these guidelines, along with communication with other industry leaders, we are able to do everything possible to provide a safe and clean environment for everyone to enjoy.

As part of our daily cleaning routine, we are taking the following precautionary measures to exceed the recommended guidelines.

  • Conducting higher frequency cleaning and disinfection, especially for surfaces touched by guests and volunteers.
  • Disinfecting surfaces like doorknobs, tables and seats.
  • Providing alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations near high-touch points throughout the property.
  • Quick response to any and all “out of the ordinary” cleanliness and sanitary concerns.
  • We will provide a roaming sanitization crew to clean seating areas, rest rooms and tables.
  • Closely monitoring volunteer health and safety practices, including temperature checks.
  • Contactless payment system for Fair admission, available if desired.
  • Providing signage with proper social distancing protocols throughout the property.

As recommended by the CDC, we encourage all guests and volunteers to follow these simple guidelines:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds each time.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid contact with and distance yourself from those who may be sick. Avoid handshaking, hugging – use other non-contact methods of greeting.
  • Strongly urge the wearing face coverings

The BCFA is committed to providing our guests and community with a safe, clean and fun environment to enjoy with their family and friends. We are actively monitoring local and federal government agencies’ safety guidelines to ensure WE provide safe and clean Fairgrounds. We will continue implementing any safety guidelines recommended to ensure the safety of our guests, volunteers and local community.

We value each guest who visits our Fair, and hope these measures give you confidence that we are taking the necessary precautions in this evolving situation. We remain committed to providing you and your family with a safe – clean – fun environment.
